Duration: 8-10 weeks (June - August 2025)
Hours: 8 hours/week, flexible scheduling

About Us
The Chronic Pain Project amplifies the voices of people living with chronic pain through art, storytelling, and community building. We're a year-old nonprofit creating exhibits, workshops, and resources that make chronic pain visible and foster connection among those who understand this experience.
The Opportunity
Join us during our busiest season as we launch our summer exhibit, host community workshops, and expand our reach. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, disability advocacy, and creative storytelling while supporting meaningful work that directly impacts an underrepresented community.
What You'll Do
Content Creation: Draft and schedule social media posts for Instagram and Facebook using Meta Business Suite
Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions
Newsletter Support: Assist with monthly newsletter creation and distribution
Press & Outreach: Help maintain media lists, draft outreach emails to journalists and influencers
Content Curation: Collect and organize user-submitted stories and artwork for campaigns
Analytics: Track engagement metrics and media coverage
What We're Looking For
Current student or recent graduate in communications, journalism, marketing, nonprofit studies, or related field
Strong writing skills and attention to detail
Genuine interest in disability justice, health advocacy, or community organizing
Basic familiarity with Instagram and willingness to learn Canva
Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely
Available for weekly check-ins and flexible project deadlines
